Project Rx - Mozambique

Project Rx is a health education program based in the village of Matola, Mozambique. Project Rx has evolved into a mission to cover the most rudimentary needs, food and water, for a small rural village in Mozambique. Project Rx educates individuals in organic farming and rainwater harvesting. In addition, we are running an organic community farm, used as a microfinance opportunity to fund families' water harvesting wells and home organic farms.

Andrea Romero, Project Rx: Maputo/Matola, Mozambique; Andrea graduated from Stanford with the class of 2009 in Political Science. Andrea has spent the past two years working with African Leadership, South Africa where she grew to love Africa. After witnessing the health disparities in South Africa and Mozambique she initiated Project Rx in order to counter the problems with preventable disease education and a community garden.
